In spring larvae come out of the ootecs. After having grown in the summer, the adults mate and lay down around October, dying at the first cold.

| Oggi a Roma nordest, in zona di nuova costruzione con ampie zone prative recintate ho visto due ooteche di Iris oratoria già aperte. Quindi sembra che in questa zona le piccole mantidi nascano molto presto! |
